This is the sixth 14-disc set of Concertgebouw live performances, each covering a decade, except that the first one went back to 1935. There also have been four large sets devoted to Mengelberg, van Beinum, Haitink, and Chailly. These 128 discs form a prodigious, perhaps unique documentation of one of the world’s greatest orchestras.
