Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Camille Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Pierné
Here is a beautiful harp recital of French pieces from the late 19th- early 20th centuries. Performed by Marielle Nordmann, Lily Laskine’s protégée and one of the most talented performers of her generation, it includes showpieces of the harp repertoire like Fauré’s Une châtelaine en sa tour and arrangements of Debussy’s beloved piano pieces, transcribed by Lily Laskine or Nordmann herself. Pierné’s Impromptu-caprice was dedicated to Mrs. Provincialli-Celmer, harp teacher of Marielle Nordmann’s grandmother.
