Michel Roux, Orchestre de chambre Louis de Froment
Michel Roux, an accomplished rugby player who abandoned his career in sports to take up singing and became a figure of the Parisian lyric stages, notably triumphing as Escamillo, Golaud or Méphistophélès. On record, he took part on the first ever performance of composer-philosopher Jean-Jacques-Rousseau’s lovely intermède Le devin du village, portraying the soothsayer who helps Colin and Colette (Nicolai Gedda and Janine Micheau) strengthening their love relationship.
