October 21st will mark the hundredth anniversary of Sir Malcolm Arnold, a very original figure of British 20th-century music, still popular in Great Britain, but also worldwide thanks to the soundtrack of the Bridge on the River Kwai. We release here an eclectic album of Arnold's music conducted by Ronald Thomas, from the radiant Serenade to the somber Sinfonietta III and the lovely flute concertos.
