Bach: Violin Concertos

Alice Harnoncourt, proud spouse of Nikolaus, co-founded with her husband the Concentus Music Wien, pioneering ensemble specialized in historically informed performance which revolutionized baroque music in the 60s. As lead violinist of the orchestra, she recorded the complete concertos of Bach, including the one for two violins, the transcriptions of keyboard concertos and the double concerto with oboe. All these recordings are for the first time gathered together in this premiering album.
