One of the oldest and most admired orchestras in the United States, the Boston Symphony Orchestra was for almost thirty years the privileged domain of Seiji Ozawa. Under his tenure, it recorded various praised albums of Slavonic music, gathered in this collection which includes Dvořák’s cello concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations with Mstislav Rostropovich, Stravinsky’s Firebird and Tchaikovsky’s sixth symphony.
