We release the complete Brahms recordings conducted by Carlo Maria Giulini during the 60s with the Philharmonia and New Philharmonia, including the four symphonies, the Haydn Variations and the Tragic Overture. These are landmark renditions, noble and contemplative, noted for their measured tempo. All available for the first time in digital, they come with the two piano concertos recorded with Claudio Arrau, a splendid example of osmosis between the conductor and the soloist.
