Patrick Hadley, Frederick Delius
Mitwirkende:
Composer Patrick Hadley, whose catalog of works is relatively short, remains famous for his tone poem The Trees So High, after English folkloric music which he often drew his inspiration from. His other great composition is The Hills, inspired by his family background in the Derbyshire region where his parents met. This version by Philip Ledger, the only one put on record so far, is coupled with other choral works performed by vocal ensembles form Cambridge (including the Choir of King’s College) where Hadley was born.
