Vivaldi - Four Seasons

Recorder sounds throughout the year: The Four Seasons was already a hit during Vivaldi’s lifetime – the melodic inventiveness of the passage of the seasons captivated and stimulated the imagination of listeners. The initial drafts of the Seasons, which have probably been revised more often than any other classical cycle, were composed at the beginning of the 18th century. In this recording, the four concertos are performed with a recorder soloist.
