D’India: Madrigali

A contemporary of Monteverdi, d’India’s style draws from every Italian musical tradition, as he spent most of his life travelling through the peninsula. His five-voices collections are stunning examples of the madrigal golden age of the late Renaissance, with sophisticated melodies, unexpected dissonances and captivating harmonies.
