Van Parys: Eco... del vuoto

With Eco... del vuoto, Belgian composer Annelies Van Parys pays tribute to her late teacher Luc Brewaeys, who died far too early in 2015. Van Parys composed this work around the sketches for Brewaeys' final composition for the Concertgebouw Orchestra; on the golden section one hears an almost literal quote from this unfinished work. With her overpowering style, Van Parys is a completely original voice within contemporary music. This world premiere marked the Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska’s debut with the Concertgebouw Orchestra
