Amor e gelosia: Operatic Duets

This very original programme features duets from well-known operas alongside lesser-known works, some of which have never been recorded before. All the works pertain to love and jealousy, hence the title Amor e gelosia.

Joyce Di Donato was the 2003 recipient of New York City Opera's Award & 2002 Awardee of the prize. Although she is mostly known as an accomplished Rossinian, her repertoire ranges from Bach to Janacek’s and Bernstein’s operas.

Patrizia Ciofi: The very rapidly rising Italian coloratura sings a repertoire which ranges from Handel (Tamerlano) to Honegger, via Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi … As La Reppublica states she’s ‘Italy's latest gift to opera!’.
