Nathalie Stutzmann, Françoise Pollet
We will focus in the coming months on the recordings of Michel Plasson, one of the most zealous advocates of French music throughout his long career at the baton of the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse. Among the many albums he made for EMI France during his tenure, this one is real rarity, and an absolute gem: the first ever recording of Breton composer Guy Ropartz’s third symphony, a splendid ode to nature with choir and vocal soloists. This rendition features Françoise Pollet and the young Nathalie Stutzmann in her very first recording.
