Stravinsky: Le Sacre du printemps, Symphonie de psaumes & Les Noces

Here is another album from our “Stravinsky by himself” series. It includes recordings made in Paris of The Rite of Spring and the Symphony of Psalms, at the baton of the Walther Straram Orchestra, a major avant-garde institution of the 20s (remembered for premiering Ravel’s Bolero). Also featured on this album is the English version of Les Noces, recorded in 1934 with the BBC Chorus, and the premiere on record.
