Digital premiere of an historical album: the premiere on record of Stravinsky’s original version of The Soldier’s Tale. Inspired by a Russian story, this Faustian tale for three actors and chamber ensemble originally meant to be toured in Swiss villages demonstrates Stravinsky’s amazing ability to assimilate non-classical genres such as jazz or tango. This version is narrated by three great figures of French theatre of the 50s, and conductor Fernand Oubradous is surrounded by high profile soloists such as violin player Georges Alès.
