La Vernatelle

“I love going to La Vernatelle. Pierre who lives there is one of the most knowledgeable and kind people I know, and being with him in his place, it feels like being somewhere a bit outside of this world.

I began writing this piece in June, while I was at Pierre’s home. Then when I was returning to La Vernatelle in August, the piece just finished itself. If you hear this music and you think of that beautiful part of France and that gives you a little bit of a smile – well, that makes me happy.”
