Martial Solal & Toots Thielemans

In a salute to the memory of Martial Solal, who passed away in December 2024, we release a collaboration with another legendary figure of his instrument, Belgian harmonica player Toots Thielemans. With this unusual instrumental combination, Solal and Toots revisit standards of the jazz repertoire by Cole Porter, Miles Davis or Nacio Herb Brown, but also present their own compositions such as Thielemans’ Waltz for Sonny dedicated to Sonny Rollins.
