The discreet pianist Annie d’Arco was a major figure of French musical life, both for her musical artistry and her pedagogical talents. She particularly excelled in the German repertoire, as proves this beautiful collection of Mendelssohn’s pieces, with complete cycle of Songs Without Words. The quite rarely recorded Preludes and Études have been remastered in high resolution and are included in our beautiful Mendelssohn boxset.
