Schumann: Liederkreis, Op. 39

On-going Elisabeth Leonskaja’s discography: tied to Brigitte Fassbaender by a close friendship and artistic complicity, they recorded together two beautiful albums of German lieder. The Brahms recording having been already re-issued a few weeks ago, here comes their rendition of Schumann’s second cycle of Liederkreis, after poems by Eichendorff.
