Alfonso X el Sabio, Cristóbal de Morales, vihuelist Luys de Narváez
Artista protagonista:
Ars Musicae de Barcelona
Victoria de los Ángeles has been throughout all her career a zealous promoter of music from her native Spain, including off-the-beaten-tracks early and traditional repertoires. She explores in this album medieval and Renaissance songs by composers from Andalusian descent or somehow related to the brilliant court of Seville (vihuelist Luys de Narváez, Cristóbal de Morales, the poet and composer king Alfonso X…) She is accompanied by the Ars Musicae ensemble featuring the young Jordi Savall at the viol. This recording is completed by four traditional songs performed with guitarist Renata Tarragó.
