Thanks to printed music collections from the Renaissance, published by composers and music publishers such as Tielman Susato in Antwerp and Thomas Morley in London, the music of the 16th century is alive and well today. The wealth of Renaissance music – from festive stepping pavans to exuberantly cheerful, infectiously rhythmic dances – is as delightful today as it was then.
