Giovanni Battista has often been mistaken for his brother Giuseppe, an excellent chamber musician who was settled in London. Two beautiful flute sonatas recorded by Jean-Pierre Rampal were long attributed to the first but finally proven to written by the latter. They are gathered in this beautiful collection of chamber and concertante pieces from the 18th century, featuring Karl Ristenpart and Robert Veyron-Lacroix.
