In 1990, Itzhak Perlman joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on its first-ever trip to Russia. The visit resulted in an Emmy Award-winning TV documentary and these live recordings of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (from St Petersburg) and a richly varied recital with piano (from Moscow).
