Michel Dalberto first came to the world’s attention in 1975 and has long been established as a pianist of great distinction. Born and trained in Paris, where he studied with Vlado Perlemuter, he considers Schubert, Mozart, Liszt, Schumann and Fauré among the composers closest to his heart. This 17-CD collection assembles his entire Warner Classics catalogue – solo recordings, chamber collaborations, concerto and song. It spans more than 30 years and includes a previously unreleased recording, made in 1986, of Liszt’s Douze études d’exécution transcendante (Transcendental Studies).
