French and German music lovers: save the date! On Sunday, September 24th, 5.40 pm GMT, the public TV channel Arte will broadcast the opening concert of this summer’s edition of the Lucerne Festival. A splendid program including Mozart’s “Jeunehomme” Concerto conducted by Paavo Järvi, with the great Maria João Pires as soloist. Let’s take this opportunity to rediscover the fantastic concertante legacy of the Portuguese legend, one of the most extraordinary Mozartian of her time, in this splendid collection of Erato recordings with Armin Jordan, Theodor Guschlbauer and Claudio Scimone (the two pieces conducted by the latter being digital premieres!)
