Here comes the last re-issue of our retrospective dedicated to the fantastic baritone Michel Roux, whose centenary was celebrated this year. A very distinguished specialist of the French comic repertoire, he particularly excelled in the operas of Offenbach (see our previously released La belle Hélène and La Vie Parisienne). In this 1952 version of Orphée aux enfers conducted by Jules Gressier, he portrays hilariously the womanizer Jupiter desperately trying to seduce Eurydice (Claudine Collart).
