Georges Prêtre is known to be one of the most influential figures of French music in the post war period. He became very close to Francis Poulenc after being chosen to premiere the famous Voix humaine. He would later often be the first to put his works on record, many of which with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra. This collection includes the digital premiere of L’histoire de Babar with Peter Ustinov, and various orchestral, vocal and concertante pieces featuring great french musicians Gabriel Tacchino or Jean-Christophe Benoît.
