Ravel: L’enfant et les sortilèges

Marking the centenary of its Monte-Carlo premiere, the fantasy opera L’enfant et les sortilèges by Maurice Ravel is a ravishing evocation of childhood and the crowning example of his talents as an orchestrator. This, the first ever recorded version, is perhaps the closest to the Ravelian spirit.
