An emotional moment at the Oscars for 87-year-old Italian composer Ennio Morricone, whose spaghetti western music revolutionised the film industry and who has more than 500 film credits to his name. The great composer-conductor at last won his first Oscar last night for Best Original Score (Tarantino's The Hateful Eight).
Morricone was the pioneer behind the music of Sergio Leone’s A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, among countless other films.
