Prokofiev: Symphonies Nos. 4 & 5

Final volume of our Prokofiev’s symphonies cycle by Mstislav Rostropovich. The famous conductor was a close friend of the composer in his youth, and the dedicatee of various cello works. At the end of the 1980s he paid homage to his mentor by recording the complete symphonies in a series of recordings with the French national radio orchestra.
